Indian River County, located just over 100 miles southeast of Orlando and north of Miami, is known for its 26 miles of pristine beaches, coastal charm and waterfront views. A little known secret though, is the abundance of rustic venues just minutes from the ocean. From oak covered pathways and wooden barns to southern-style plantations – the area is brimming with down-home charm and countryside glamour.

Waldo’s Secret Garden

Waldo’s Secret Garden, located in Vero Beach is a 12-acre private property that can accommodate anywhere from 50 to 300 guests.

The entire property features lush greenery. Moss covered oaks create a romantic ambiance while palm trees remind you that you’re still in Florida. Even though you’ll feel like you’re tucked away in a hidden garden, you’re only fifteen minutes from the beach and nearby hotels.

Wooden bungalows provide the perfect setting for getting ready on your big day. A tiled outdoor courtyard on the property makes for a great cocktail hour site or reception area! Complete with an open-air dining room and built-in wooden bar, Waldo’s Secret Garden is a must see for couples looking for a rustic or even bohemian venue.


Bellewood Plantation

Bellewood Plantation is located on 20-acres in Vero Beach. The grand plantation home and surrounding property is a southern dream! A two story home, the plantation’s residence is all white with forest green shutters and four soaring columns.

The venue includes the plantation home, which can accommodate 14 overnight guests. The property grounds can accommodate weddings of up to 250 guests. Site options include dining under grand oak trees and twinkling lights or under a 50’ x 110’ tented, hard court area. There is also a poolside deck with a covered pavilion.

Other site amenities include the use of four indoor bathrooms, a catering kitchen, reception tables, ceremony and reception chairs, and valet parking.

Bellewood Plantation in Vero Beach combines southern charm with modern conveniences, all while giving guests and wedding parties the option of nearby beaches, hotels and activities!


The Heritage Center

Located in the heart of Downtown Vero Beach, The Heritage Center offers guests proximity to the beaches, hotels, restaurants and more!

The main hall features an open-beamed cathedral ceiling, pine wood floors and a coquina stone fireplace. Leave the beamed cathedral ceiling open for a truly rustic feel, or dress it up with twinkling lights, draped fabric or even chandeliers!

The large main hall can accommodate up to 180 guests seated. Tables and chairs are included at no additional charge. There is also a stage in the main hall – perfect for a DJ or band.

Outside, a brick patio makes for an intimate cocktail hour area. A tent can even be put up over the patio, allowing for cover from the sun or lucky wedding-day rain.


Magnolia Manor

Magnolia Manor, located in Vero Beach is a 10-acre property complete with a large barn, lush foliage and customizable arbor.

Rustic romance is the theme at Magnolia Manor. The gorgeous landscaping and picture perfect barn create a relaxed yet upscale feel.

Couples can be married amongst the fragrant magnolia trees or inside the large, white washed barn, which can hold up to 120 guests (the venue can accommodate weddings ranging from 50 to 300 guests). The outdoor cocktail area is complete with a fire pit and Adirondack chairs. A recently renovated on-site bridal suite helps couples feel pampered throughout the day.

Included in the property is a month-of planner as well as on-site tables and chairs.


Cielo Blu Barn

Cielo Blu Barn (pronounced Chee-ello blue, meaning “Blue Sky”) was created with Florida’s unique ambiance in mind. The rustic venue is located in Fellsmere, Florida, close to Sebastian River State Park and the Blue Cypress Conservation Area.
